Greenpeace wins the First Edition of the Non Profit Email Award
The first edition of the Non Profit Email Award, launched by ContactLab in collaboration with the Festival del Fundraising, came to a close with the victory of the email campaign by Greenpeace Enel is killing the climate with your money. Stop it now.
45 Non Profit Organisations took part in the competition, web users expressed their preference by voting on an online gallery of 124 email campaigns. In just over two weeks 14,000 votes were submitted.
The winning campaign chosen from a shortlist of ten was finally selected by the attendees of the three day (9-11 May) Festival del Fundraising, 2012 in Castrocaro (FC), Italy.
The aim of the winning campaign by Greenpeace focuses on the Italy’s largest energy company Enel to dissuade them from using coal and to promote renewable sources that are climate friendly such as wind and solar energy. Greenpeace thus won the 2000 Euro prize by ContactLab for the Best email campaign of the non-profit sector and in turn decided hand it over to NutriAid, a small NPO in the shortlist of the competition with the information campaign Hunger Has Short Legs.
